Love Mode

Hubby loves to play video games but he isn't really into Minecraft. In fact, I think that this past weekend might have been the first time that he played the game for more than 10 minutes.

After having heard me complain that the kids were laughing over my lack of Minecraft knowledge (see yesterday's post HERE), he sat down to play the game just to show me what it is all about.

While he was engrossed in smashing down trees and putting blocks together, I was losing interest really fast. Frankly, I'd rather be cutting up some real paper than to watch him punch another video tree. I was just about to leave the room when I took one more look at the monitor and my jaw dropped.

"OMG! Did the cows just kiss and make a baby?!"

"Uh-huh. That's Love Mode."

HAHAHA! It was the funniest thing I had ever seen on a video game! I was so inspired I couldn't wait to get out of the room and start on my card.

Using Silhouette Studio Designer Edition and my Silhouette Cameo, I printed the sentiment on the card front and cut out the layers for the heart. I adhered the layers together with glue and stuck the assembled heart on the card front with foam tape.

I'm thrilled with how the cards turned out and I can't wait until Feb 14 to give Hubby his card. I wonder if it'll put him in a Love Mode. hehe...

My daughters (11 and 9) are completely obsessed with MineCraft too. I'll get this set today.

  2. Jin, where do you source your cardstock? I love the texture of the paper. It gives a great dimension to the cut outs.
